形態特徵

• Stems evergreen, 30 cm to over 1 m tall, 1-5 mm broad, with 1-4 branches per node; stomata in double lines in the grooves.
• sheaths green, cylindrical, 4-12 mm long; teeth thin, brown to white, drying and deciduous, strobili apiculate.
• Cross section of stem showing vallecular collenchyma extending to vallecular canal; endodermis as separate rings around each vascular bundle.
• This subspecies is the southern form and is very similar to subspecies <i>ramosissimum</i> but differs chiefly in having an individual endodermis around each vascular bundle rather than having a common endodermis surrounding all vascular bundles, and dark bands on the lower sheaths.

• 台灣 : Growing along mountain streams and paths, from sea level to 2,000 m.
• 世界 : southern Asia from India and Ceylon to the Philippines, Indonesia and New Caledonia.
